Applause at Mass

I found this quote at True Confessions of a Prodigal Daughter who very beautifully crafted this image of Pope Benedict with his important message to us. Pope Benedict gives us food for thought. Where have we come at our holy sacrifice of the Mass? Where is our reverence?

This is SO true!! I feel that clapping is a sign of successful entertainment!! Not fitting during Mass. We are not there to be entertained!! ugh!

Posting this on the pillars!

Thanks, Donna-Marie!

You are very welcome, Ebeth! Thanks for stopping by. I know exactly how you feel. It's sad that the reverence that we should have at the holy sacrifice of the Mass is many times absent!

Recently, rather than feeling annoyed, I found myself praying for a family nearby at Mass who talked amongst each other all during Mass! It is really sad. What are these people thinking? Where do they think they are? At a sport's game?

There's a lot of praying for us to do. As Fr. Hardon always used to say, "Ther's work to be done!"

God bless you and yours,
Hugs,
