This is the update for the fourteen year old girl that we've been praying for:
"The theme today was "limited good news." AJ's heart is continuing to work at an acceptable level, with the help of her medication. Her potassium levels have stabilized and may even be decreasing, which is good news -- that will make life easier for her heart. The biopsy of her lung came back negative for fungus, which means that the doctors can proceed with the experimental treatment for the Wegener's disease. On the down side, the small hole in her lung let a little more air into her belly, which tends to give AJ sharp pains in her middle. The doctors are still saying that they don't need to operate on that, however, which is good since AJ's still pretty weak.
So, we'll keep watching developments and hoping for continued good news, even if it's a little at a time. And we'll hope that AJ gets some more good rest tonight -- sleep tight, sweetie. "

The Little Flower flashed through my mind just now. God has a reason for even this. If for nothing else, it's a testament to the sanctity of this little girl that she is able to bear so much so patiently. Regardless of what happens, she'll always be a great encouragement to me. Sleep peacefully little saint.
I felt the same way, Cheryl.
