Update from the Capital building

"About 1,500 people are expected to be at the state capitol today to voice their opinion about SB 1098, which would allow government to have a hand in Catholic parish finances. The three Connecticut diocese urged parishioners to attend today to voice their opinion. So far, mobs and mobs of people are here wearing red stickers that say “religious freedom.” However, there are two things going on at once here. Outside, in the rain, is a rally. Inside is a forum where people can voice their opinions on the matter. Both are at noon. I’m at the hearing now and will try to disappear to the rally in a bit.

Stay tuned." This is from Tracy Simmons's blog, Waterbury Republican reporter. Check it out here
